SEEWAY is a luminous collection of images reflecting celebrated contemporary artist Wanda Koop’s journey down the Saint Lawrence Seaway. While attending the SEEWAY opening at the Canadian Embassy in Washington D.C., Leon A. Brown Executive VP Jon Brown realized her work had not been shown here before and was not part of the Embassy’s collection. “I felt it was important for Wanda’s work to be on permanent display beside other great Canadian artists for the world to see”.

Leon A. Brown Ltd., on behalf of all Canadians, is pleased to donate the premier piece from SEEWAY “Dusk” to the Canadian Embassy in Washington D.C. in memory of our father Ashley Brown. “Dad was an early supporter of Wanda and would be pleased to know she will be recognized at the Embassy for years to come. He was a soldier, farmer and early advocate for Winnipeg’s arts and historic architecture”.

Wanda Koop is one of Canada’s most important and inventive contemporary artists. Her career spans over four decades and includes more than 50 major solo exhibitions, nationally and internationally.
